American League Wins Again
Wednesday, July 13 2005 @ 08:06 AM CDT
Miguel Tejada homered and drove in a pair of runs while Mark Teixeira hit a two-run blast as the American League defeated the National League 7-5 in the 76th All-Star Game at Comerica Park on Tuesday.

The American League is now unbeaten in the annual game since 1996, winning eight games in the nine years since then with the 2002 game in Milwaukee ending in a controversial tie.

The National League still leads the series 40-34-2, but the American League is 14-3-1 in the last 18 games.
