InfoSpace announced the pan-European launch of its football themed mobile game, Sexy Soccer. The title, which features a compelling mix of soccer skills training and good looking girls, will be available in all European countries from the beginning of June 2006 through a number of mobile network operators for consumers with JAVA enabled handsets at a recommended retail price of £3.00.
The game offers a light-hearted take on the world's favourite sport, differentiates itself from the standard 'football match' titles which have flooded the market by combining football mini games with scantily clad football trainers. Sexy Soccer™ offers three mini-games based upon spot kick, dribbling and keepy up skills. Players achieving a high score in each mini game see their female football trainer remove an item of clothing, providing an instant incentive to replay the game to earn an even higher score.
“The launch of Sexy Soccer coincides with the FIFA World Cup 2006 Tournament and provides a saucy and enjoyable alternative to the many serious football games available on mobiles,” said Alan Welsman, Vice President of Marketing Infospace Inc. Europe. “Girls and gaming are two of the most established revenue generators within the mobile entertainment sector. By combining the two within a simple, accessible, fast and fun title, we’ve created a fresh approach to the football games genre for mobile.”
Sexy Soccer will be available to mobile operator networks throughout Europe and is supported on handsets from all major handset manufactures including Sony Ericsson, Nokia, Motorola and Samsung. The game is one of eight titles slated for release in Europe over the next six months including Trickshot Pool, MTV Pimp My Ride, Le Mans 2006, Cubis, Take Yer Meds!, Aquastax and Back Attack.
