 Yankees Hit 6 HRs in 21-4 Rout of Rays |

The New York Yankees scored 10 runs in the fourth inning and Alex Rodriguez hit his 498th career homer in a 21-4 pounding of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays on Sunday.
Every starter had a hit, scored and drove in a run as the Yankees ripped five Devil Rays pitchers for 25 hits.
"Even in batting practice you don't get hits every time you swing the bat," Yankees manager Joe Torre told reporters.
"This was certainly pretty incredible -- to be able to continue to get hit after hit after hit after hit."
Hideki Matsui had five of the hits, going 5-for-6 with three runs scored and a second-inning homer.
Rodriguez homered in a four-run sixth inning for his Major League-leading 34th homer of the season. The two-run shot gave him 99 RBI for the season, also tops in the majors.
Rookie Shelley Duncan homered twice and went 2-for-4 while driving in four runs as the Yankees won for the eighth time in 10 games. They had 20 hits in a 17-5 win over the Devil Rays on Saturday.
Robinson Cano and Bobby Abreu also homered with Cano getting four hits and Abreu three. The Yankees sent 14 batters to the plate in the fourth, scoring 10 runs on eight hits and an error.
*Manny Ramirez homered and drove in four runs as the Boston Red Sox beat the Chicago White Sox 8-5 for their third win in a row.
*Roy Halladay pitched a three-hit complete game and the Toronto Blue Jays shut out the Seattle Mariners 8-0. The Mariners have not scored a run in 22 innings.
*Baltimore's Jermey Guthrie held the Oakland Athletics to two hits in seven innings as the Orioles won 2-0 on the road. The loss was the 11th in 13 games for the Athletics.
*Josh Barfield and Casey Blake each had three hits as the Cleveland Indians beat the Texas Rangers 8-3 to move within one game of Central Division-leading Detroit.
