Barry Bonds, whose race to become Major League Baseball's all-time home-run king is plagued by a perjury investigation, now faces the prospect of an ex-lover baring all about their relationship.
Ex-girlfriend Kimberly Bell will not only appear naked in Playboy Magazine, but she will also discuss their sex life together, her agent said on Tuesday.
The 37-year-old design artist's plans emerged in the New York Times on Tuesday, the 43rd birthday of the San Francisco Giants slugger who is two homers short of Hank Aaron's career Major League record of 755.
"She goes on at length about her personal relationship with Barry Bonds and ... her sex life with Barry Bonds as well," Bell's agent, David Hans Schmidt, told Reuters.
A spokeswoman for Playboy said the photos and article would appear in the November issue that comes out in early October.
Bell has confirmed in the past that she testified before a federal grand jury looking into whether Bonds lied when he testified in the BALCO sports steroid case that he never knowingly used steroids, which enhance performance in sports.
The book "Game of Shadows" about the BALCO scandal quotes Bell as saying Bonds used steroids; the book also says he suffered from sexual dysfunction, common after steroid use. Bonds is now married to his second wife.
