Two guys named Chuck and Larry edged out a teenager named Harry at the weekend box office. Adam Sandler and Kevin James' comedy "I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry" overcame bad reviews to debut ahead of "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," according to studio estimates Sunday. But they were close enough that there was a slight chance rankings could change when final weekend figures come out Monday.

NBA referee Tim Donaghy, who's being investigated by the FBI for betting on games he worked, had local lawmen at his Florida home Sunday because of threatening phone calls he's received, according to The New York Post.

Three squad cars from the Manatee County Sheriff's Office arrived at Donaghy's home in Bradenton, Fla.

David Beckham made his long-awaited debut for Los Angeles Galaxy in front of a capacity crowd when he came on as a substitute in the 78th minute of Saturday's exhibition match against Chelsea.

The England midfielder, who has been struggling to recover from an injury to his left ankle, was cheered loudly by the 27,000 fans at the Home Depot Center as he ran on to the pitch in place of striker Alan Gordon.

Irishman Padraig Harrington beat Sergio Garcia of Spain by one stroke in a four-hole British Open playoff on Sunday to land his maiden victory in a major and the first by a European for eight years.

Harrington, 35, completed the extra holes in 15 shots (level par) after the two Ryder Cup colleagues had finished the championship locked together on seven-under 277 following an incident-packed day of high drama on the east coast of Scotland.

Michael Vick's legal troubles prompted Nike on Thursday to suspend the release of its latest product line named after the Atlanta Falcons quarterback.

Nike has told retailers it will not release a fifth signature shoe, the Air Zoom Vick V, this summer. Nike spokesman Dean Stoyer said the four shoe products and three shirts that currently bear Vick's name will remain in stores.

CBS is finding it tough to replace Bob Barker on "The Price Is Right" because he has "the biggest shoes in Hollywood to fill," CBS entertainment chief Nina Tassler said Wednesday.

Comedian Drew Carey is among those the network is talking with about the job, she said. Carey will host CBS' prime-time game show "Power of 10," debuting in August.
