Federal investigators searched Arizona Diamondbacks reliever Jason Grimsley’s house Tuesday as part of their investigation of steroid use in baseball.

Thirteen agents searched Grimsley’s house in Scottsdale, Ariz., for six hours, according to Internal Revenue Service Agent Mark Lessler, who would not say what they found.

The Texas Rangers hope to boost hot dog and beer sales this summer not only with a better team but with an innovation at the concession stands - swipe-free credit-card terminals.

The players are doing their part - the Rangers are in first place in the AL West. And credit-card sales are accounting for about 10 to 12 percent of concession sales so far, which club officials consider a success.

Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor reached an agreement with prosecutors to drop felony charges against him and pleaded no contest Thursday to two misdemeanors in an assault case, avoiding any jail time that might have derailed his NFL career.

The deal calls for Taylor to be placed on 18 months' probation, talk about the importance of education at 10 Miami-Dade County schools and contribute $1,000 for scholarships to each of those schools. He must also pay $429 in court costs.
